Kernel University was awarded for the candidate status by the TRACS (Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools) accreditation commission vote of approval. TRACS is recognized by the United States Department of Education (USDOE), the Council of the Higher Education Accreditation(CHEA) and the International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education(INQAAHE) as a national institutional accrediting agency for Christian colleges and universities.
TRACS have approved the following programs, Bachelor of Theology and Master of Divinity. Kernel University is in the process of earning the full membership.

Category Ill institution by the TRACS Accreditation Commission on April 25, 2017.
This status is effective for a period of up to five years. TRACS is recognized by the
United States Department of Education (USDOE), the Council for Higher Education
Accreditation (CHEA), and the International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies
in Higher Education (INQAAHE).”
